I studied the art of translation at the Munich-based Academy for translators and interpreters from which I graduated with a bachelor in translation (specialised on technical texts). During my studies high emphasis was placed on the correct translation of demanding technical texts from a wide variety of subjects. The high standards at the Academy ensured that translations were not only correct regarding terminology but also left a good impression regarding style and flow of a text.

Following my studies, I spent several years as project manager and translator at a localisation company in Munich. Thanks to my daily professional experience, I have gained a lot of insight into the business of localisation of software and documentation. One center of my activities lay on the translation of documentation for industrial manufacturing and marketing material.

Apart from this, I also take on the translation of documents, e. g. certificates of marriage or other official papers. Being accredited as certified translator at the regional court in Augsburg, in Bavaria, Germany, I can also certify documents upon request.

I successfully completed projects in the following areas:

  • Mechanical engineering - Network - Telephone
  • Web design - Databases - CAD
  • Multimedia - Word processing - Presentations
  • Desktop Publishing - Automotive
  • Data Security
  • Marketing and Training -Steel production
